if you’re going to call me a “murderer” or sick that i eat meat. Grow up, Lions eat zebras. Bears eat Salmon. ETC. THE FUCKING FOOD CHAIN. So, we need meat to survive as a WHOLE population so dont critisize me for being a carnivore :P
I’ll field this since, whether you are being a troll or not, this comes up way too often and not everyone is joking.
Firstly: you are not a carnivore. Not even nearly. You eat an omnivore’s diet. But, you are not even an omnivore. You are human (I assume) and, therefore, one hundred mother-fucking percent herbivore. Please, have a good look through this website before you start going on about canines or any of the other bullshit arguments you have: http://michaelbluejay.com/veg/natural.html.
I’m not sure you appreciate the absurdity of comparing a human to a lion or a bear; so I’ll spell it out a little for you (make sure you’ve read about the teeth and claws before proceeding; I feel that is key to the next part of this post):
- Lions are cats. Ergo: they are carnivores. Ergo: they need flesh to survive.
- Bears are omnivores. See above.
- Lions and bears do not posses the same mental capacity as humans when it comes to ethics, empathy and compassion. Being carnivorous and omnivorous, they act on instinct. An instinct which helps them to hunt and kill. Humans posses zero ‘killer instinct’. Ever played with a kitten? Notice how it’s trying to rip the shit out of whatever you’re playing with it with? That’s killer instinct. How many babies have you seeing ripping the shit out of their toys with such voraciousness?
- We have evolved to a point where we can alter the face of the planet and affect all of it’s inhabitants. Lions and bears have not. Western society has created a sickening surplus in all aspects of agriculture: we waste a fuck ton of food. Lions and bears take what they need when they need it.
The human race is not part of any food chain. We have surpassed it and spit in the face of what is ‘natural’. Infact, the only food chain that ever accurately applied to us was ‘plants —> man’, all the rest was just us testing out what we could and could not eat.
Not only do you not need meat to survive as an individual, meat consumption is killing ‘whole’ populations. A vast majority of food grown is used to feed livestock. You have to feed your food more than it takes to feed a human. Subsequently, poorer nations are staving because of fat western nations. If we took livestock out of the equation and used the food we grow to feed people and not livestock then there would be no such thing as world hunger AND there would be much less deforestation because it would take much less space to grow enough food for 6.7 billion people rather than 100 billion plus animals. Not to mention all the grazing space cleared up. Something to think about: during the Ethiopian (and other) famine, the country was still growing food for livestock. That cannot possibly make sense to any rational human being.
