Every time I remember that I’m seeing RHCP in little less than a month, I start to lose my breath.

See, one of the reasons that I like RHCP so much is the strong sense of brotherhood that exists between them all
They’ve all been through so much, as individuals as well as a unit.
When I hear them talk about past members and how much of an inspiration they were, how lucky they were to have them, how they’ll always have a place in their hearts….it reminds me how they are not just preoccupied with who the current members are: once a Chili Pepper, always a Chili Pepper.
It’s more than just music, it’s love and that strong bond that they all have together.
I don’t feel this with any other band, really. Maybe it’s because I’ve been into them for the longest amount of time but I don’t know, they’re just beautiful to me, all of them.
I love you guys, but I love your love, too.

And like so many things when disasters happen beautiful things are born from them, and the next thing that was born was the entrance of John Frusciante. He was a mind-blowing young man, very much a student of the school of Hillel Slovak, among many other art forms and musicians, and his creative spirit drove us to new heights. He was on fire and he’s just one of the most amazing artists on Earth and we were lucky to have him in this band twice, and write music with him. We’re forever grateful to you John Frusciante.

“ Every fucking day, I get up, I go down to the gig, and I think, ‘How can we uplift the people tonight? How can we be better than we are?’ I sit at the piano before the show and I’m like, ‘How can we write the next song? What can I write that Anthony’s gonna really fucking like so that we can make something beautiful? We’re still trying to crack the code, man… I feel like we’re still a newborn band. We’re just working and focused on trying to be as good as we can be and I feel like we’ve barely scratched the surface of what’s possible for us to be.
